New Episode: The Death of Allison Lussier

by | Mar 3, 2025 | News

On February 22, 2024, Allison Lussier, a 47-year-old Indigenous woman from Minneapolis, was found dead in her apartment after enduring months of domestic violence. Despite reaching out to the police multiple times, her pleas were ignored, and her death was eventually ruled undetermined. In this episode, we explore Allison’s life, her struggle to escape an abusive relationship, and the larger systemic issues that disproportionately affect Indigenous women in Minnesota. With her case still under investigation, the community has rallied for justice, but the question remains: why are so many Indigenous women ignored until it’s too late? Listen to the full episode and join the fight for justice and accountability.

In the video below, Jana Williams, an aunt of Allison Lussier spoke to the press about the Minneapolis Police failing to investigate Lussier’s death. She called on the BCA and the Department of Justice to investigate MPD’s failure. – Unicorn Riot
